Note: MacOS 10.12 or macOS 10.13 drivers are compatible on macOS 10.14. As of now, there is no plan to release EC drivers for macOS 10.14. Please use macOS 10.12 or macOS 10.13 drivers or use AirPrint/AirScan to print, fax or scan from new macOS 10.14.
AirPrint is a technology built into most popular printer models, including the printers and print servers listed here. To use AirPrint, you don't need to install an app, additional drivers, or other software.
USB-only devices Similar to AirPrint printers, these USB devices allow you to print or scan without having to install additional drivers. Because they require a USB connection, they support driverless printing or scanning only from Mac computers.
All PPD files of this driver entry are available in the PostScript Printer Application Under this entry Lexmark's PPD files for their PostScript printers are hosted. PostScript printers are supported natively in Linux and Unix environments, so you only need the PPD file for your printer, no driver executables, to get access to all printing functionality. The PPD contains all information about properties and user-settable options which are specific to the printer and makes printing dialogs show these options and allow the user to control all the printer's functionality. The PPDs only support the printing functionality of the printers. To use extra functionality, like scanning and faxing you will need additional drivers. Note that these printers work, like all other PostScript printers, with generic PostScript PPD files, but then you will not get access to all the printer specific functionality.

Damaged cables, faulty wiring, or port issues can make your printer appear as offline. Other than this, if your device has obsolete or incompatible drivers- the problem of offline printer will continue to prevail.
You might have upgraded the printer drivers but we recommend changing them with a fresh download from a reliable source because there are strong chances of corrupt download and install of printer drivers.
Download the latest printer drivers for your particular Lexmark Series X model from the Lexmark website. You can find the drivers in the Support section under Downloads. Save the drivers to your computer somewhere you'll be able to find them, such as your Desktop or Downloads folder.
Double-click the driver installation file to install the drivers to your system, following the installation instructions to ensure that your printer is set up properly. Reboot your system if directed to do so.

AirPrint is a feature in Apple Inc. 's operating systems starting with OS X Lion and iOS 4.2.1, for printing via a wireless LAN (Wi-Fi), either directly to AirPrint-compatible printers (such as specific printers from Xerox, Lexmark, HP, Canon, Konica, Ricoh, Kyocera (UTAX, Triumph-Adler), Brother, or Epson), or to non-compatible printers by way of a Microsoft Windows or GNU/Linux PC, or an Apple Mac. AirPrint does not require printer-specific drivers. AirPrint connects via a Wi-Fi network only and hence requires a Wi-Fi access point. Direct Wi-Fi connection between the device and the printer is not supported by default, but has appeared as the 'HP ePrint Wireless Direct AirPrint' feature. 2ff7e9595c
